"I've been working at Cifernos for a hair over a year now, and overall, it's been a positive experience. When I went in for my interview I was 19, 100 pounds soaking wet and had about a year of experience driving a school bus. To my surprise, one of the owners sat down with me and talked to me about what experience I had driving, how driving a bottle is different and much more dangerous than driving a school bus. He told me it is a big risk taking on young drivers for many reasons but he ended the conversation by saying he was going to give me a chance. ​

The job is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I can't complain a whole lot. Just like any job, there's going to be good and bad days but at the end of the day it is whatever you make of it. Management is pretty easy to get along with most of the time Over the past 16 months I can probably count on one hand how many times I have had a major disagreement with people in charge. With that being said though, I've seen people come in everyday and never be satisfied about their schedule for the shift. To tell you the truth, it's all about your attitude and willingness to step up when things need done that cuts the difference between an okay worker and a great worker. You can't be a good worker conditionally; anybody can be a mediocre worker by doing the bare minimum, but they don't want just okay workers; they are people who show up every day and do their best to get the job done efficiently but, most importantly, safely. 

When it comes to driver safety, the Cifernos are top-notch. We have one the best safety scores in the field and contributed to setting high standards with our main producer. We do so well in our field because of the high standard drivers are held to to and our willingness to go above and beyond for our producers. 

We have exclusively top notch equipment with the exception of a handful of older trucks. 

The Ciferno family takes time to get to know each driver on a personal level, which is a refreshing quality that many other company owners don't have. The way Ciferno goes about discipline is very fair in my opinion because they don't have a static way of going about issues. THey view and deal with every problem differently because they understand that nobody is perfect and mistakes will be made, they're very forgiving with most mistakes provided that you are honest and upfront.

Overall, it is a stellar place to work with decent pay and benefits for the workload, a top-of-the-line team of drivers who look our for each other, a group of supervisors and office staff that have the safety and best interests of everyone in mind and finally, two owners that care heavily for each driver they employ."
